The National Genealogical Society Conference in May drew me away from home once again.  This time to Sacramento, CA  I met some old friends, and made some new ones.  I got to see the Golden Gate Bridge and some other sites.

June brought a trip to Louisiana.  I only made it to Shreveport and the library where I did an intensive day of research.  I took along some fellow Dallas Genealogical Society members that needed to do research in Louisiana too.  We had a great time and found some new information, some that we weren't even looking for!

July 2-4 was spent at the First Cousin Chambers Reunion for the third year.  We had a good time, but the spirit was a little dampened with the death of my Great Aunt Blanch Chambers.  Then a trip to to Missouri for a few days to do more research in Texas County and some in Gasconade with one of my cousins proved different than any other.  Locating where the records were actually housed for Gasconade County was a real challenge.  We also went to check out records in several other counties too.  On the way up to our resting place we stopped in Mountain Grove to visit with some of my Wilson Cousins and coming home, stopped by the walnut bowl factory in Lebanon.

For my husband and my vacation my in-laws took us to London and Paris!  No research was done on this trip, it was strictly r & r and site seeing. We traveled with Tauck Tours.  They are a very good tour company with many high recommendations on their activities and routes.

I sojourned to  Salt Lake City once again on a research trip with the Dallas Genealogical Society  in October.  I realized on this trip that on Tuesdays while I'm there. I always make great progress on one of my lines.  So I've named them Miracle Tuesdays.

December found me traveling to visit my sister and her family in Laurel, MD.  I was able to go to NARA in Washington, DC for land and military research for a few days as well as do some sight seeing with my sister.  We went to Valley Forge, Mount Vernon, George Washington's plantation, and a few other places.
