William borrowed money shortly before he died and signed a note to that affect. It is dated, with his signature! The first papers filed by the administrator of the estate listed all the children's names (first and middle) plus their ages.
There was a newspaper clipping notice of the final settlement of the estate.
Cornelius Marion Massey received his inheritance while in Fayetteville, Washington Co, AR. This helped me tie the Massey line to the Mills, Thompson, and Mendenhalls.
