| Blessings come to us in all ways. I really thought that Caroline
Riebold had been orphaned when I couldn't find anything on the Riebold's on the
census records. She was, almost. Her dad died when she was young and
her mother remarried. I've found a wonderful cousin off of her mom's
second marriage that has given me many treasures to add to the story.
I have now located Caroline's dad's death
certificate and gotten a copy of her birth record which was recorded
years after her birth and after her half siblings were born. The
record named the area of Germany her mom and dad were from Greffern.
I have located one roll of microfilm of chirch records from that area
and am in the process of transcribing all the Riebold and Friedmann
surnames that were on it.
