These are my father's people. They
immigrated in the 1860's from Austria to the United States.
They spoke the Czech language. They came in through the port in New
York, traveled to Ohio, where one daughter married. They went to
St. Joseph, MO where one son and one daughter married, they left after a
few years and settled in Republic Co, KS.
Research in the Czech Republic is difficult. I've been
fortunate that there are some descendants still living there and
we are now in communication with each other.
